Details
Bimetallic composite pipes are generally composed of a base layer and a cladding layer. The base layer is usually made of ordinary carbon steel or low-alloy steel, which mainly provides the strength and toughness of the pipe to withstand the pressure and external forces of the piping system. The cladding layer, on the other hand, is made of metals with special properties, such as stainless steel, copper, or nickel-based alloys, which are primarily used to meet specific requirements for corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and high-temperature resistance. For example, in the petrochemical industry, carbon steel is commonly used as the base layer and stainless steel as the cladding layer, ensuring both the strength of the pipe and good corrosion resistance of the inner wall, capable of resisting erosion from oil and chemical media.
